Hello!
Welcome to my shop and taking interest in my creative journey!
I grew up learning arts and crafts at a very young age,my grandma would always keep me busy so I wouldnt drive her nuts,I was a very hyperactive child. (I dont know how she did it!)
We made everything together,my clothes, candles, pottery, jewelry, paper mache, puppets, paper dolls, painting, whatever was in her magazines or she all ready knew how to do.We did it!
My Grandfather taught me how to do all the not so girly things, pouring resin, using a drill,a drill press ,ban saw,air brushing, building things out of wood , (my car,for The Soap Box derby) Helping build air planes. Kleecos. Steel rivets. Every scientific thing I can remember.
Im sure you get the point by now.
I tend to want to go on and on about them, because everything they taught me to do is priceless to me and effects me in my every day choices to make things.
I had a total dry spell of making things when I got older. ( 18-20 something) Thanks to being stupid and not listening to anyone in my family.
Then a terrible thing happend, it was a car accident. I almost died, in the hospital for months.
I finally went home, to start over at my Grandmas and Grandpas !
Best decision I ever made!!!
My grandma and I started right back up creating. It was awesome!
I left again and kept making things.
Giving away most of it. Just because people were so happy about my creations.
In 2010 I opened my first shop on Etsy because I thought " Hmmm, maybe I can make some money this way"
It eventually took off a bit.
So, here I am with my own web site ready to try and bring creations to an even bigger audience to see if maybe. just maybe everything I was taught could bring joy, laughter and happiness to others.
The way my grandparents taught me.
Im still learning every day.
Just like my grand parents encouraged me to.
Thank you so much for reading this.
That means the world to me, that you want to know.
Thank you again,
Michell Covington
